For almost a quarter of a century, the Festival Orchestra’s program series for children has brought a high-quality classical musical experience to the youngest. The orchestra’s rehearsal room not only serves experimenting with the tiniest details of the symphonic pieces to be performed or playing chamber music, but also as the venue for educating the next generation of classical music lovers.

“One is only an instrument played by the universe. A symphony must be like the world. It must embrace everything”, said Mahler, and this closeness to nature seems most manifest in his Symphony No. 3. The last time that the longest symphony in the history of music was performed by Mahler specialist Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra was ten years ago.

The next instalment in Gábor Takács-Nagy’s Haydn–Mozart series is here! Fortunately for us, the symphonic oeuvre of the two great Viennese classical composers is abundant enough to keep the conductor inspired.

Jörg Widmann is a musical polymath par excellence. He is not only one of the greatest living masters of his instrument, the clarinet, but also an excellent composer, orchestrator and conductor. His compositions are palatable, entertaining, thought-provoking, and inventive. His programs are harmonious and carefully selected.

Continuing traditions, new colors, child prodigy and experienced composers at the fall Concertino concert! This time again, János Pilz has chosen pieces connected in many ways for the program of BFO's string orchestra series.

Those attending the early music concert of the BFO’s ensemble playing historical instruments will be able to enjoy an extraordinary father and son event. There will be an abundance of talented members of the Bach family in the program.

A 2024 -es „Csodálatos magyar jazz” gála a hazai jazz világ legnagyobb találkozója volt. A koncert a legnépszerűbb zenészeket vonultatta fel. A hatalmas közönségsiker után a Magyar Jazz Szövetség és a Margitszigeti Színház második alkalommal rendezi meg a műsort, sztár zenészek közreműködésével.

Az „Ormányos Falka” fagottzenekar április 17-én született, a „Fagottissimo 2006” rendezvény alkalmával. Ekkor adta elő az együttes a háziverseny nyitóakkordjaként Charpentier: Te Deum-ának fagott zenekarra készült átiratát.

Langer Ágnes a Bartók Világverseny díjazottja, és 2024 óta a Magyar Rádió Szimfonikus Zenekarának II. koncertmestere.
